God's Return Policy" Mark 10:29 - "And Jesus replied, "I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return, a hundred times over" I never really understood why people were so reluctant to give up things for the sake of Christ. At least until I had to give up some things! Friends, family, cars, houses, etc, are things we all desire. Some of us feel we need friends around all the time, or we may need family as a security blanket sometimes. But there comes a time when God may take us away from some of those that we are very close to and get us off to ourselves. There may be ways you could make money that may not line up with the word totally, so you have to give it up. Many of us do things just for money or for a false sense of security and compromise our own convictions in the process. I'm not talking about ways that are illegal, but I'm talking about things that may not be apart of the plan God has for you. Thus, you may not get the car, or the house of your dreams at that time. In these instances, Mark 10:29 becomes very important. It gives us the promise that if we give up anything for the sake of the Kingdom, we get it back 100 times! Wow! Can you imagine a better set of friends? Friends that will walk with you better, treat you better, love you more? Can you imagine having your family closer to Christ and in a better place in your life? Can you imagine having the car of your dreams or the house of your dreams? Can you imagine paying bills on time, not having to struggle each month and being able to bless others at will? Well, when you are at the pivotle point of going the right way or the wrong way, no matter how hard the decision is or how much money is at stake, chose right and don't worry. Don't feel like you have been done wrong, or you are being punished. God is working on you. There are things he needs out of you and things he needs your undivided attention to put in you. And when you are ready, you will receive 100 times what you gave up. So, lift up your head and walk in confidence because the word cannot lie. If Jesus said it, I believe it.
